SOLAR WATER HEATING

Water heating is an easy and low cost way to use solar energy. There are different types of systems to use for domestic use (such as showers and baths, washing dishes and clothes, etc), swimming pools, spas and hot tubs.

Full Circle Solar sells and installs the ProgressivTube collector made by Thermal Technologies Corporation. This 40 gallon passive solar water heater is a self-contained unit that acts as collector and storage in one piece of equipment. The all copper collector has a selective surface coating, double glazing and a 10-year manufacturer’s warranty.

There is a federal tax credit of 30% (up to $2000) which can be claimed for the installation of solar water heaters for domestic hot water use. Hot tubs and swimming pools are not eligible for this tax credit.
